Update: I picked a winner over a year ago

Previously, I did a review of Commonwealth, an app where you can buy fractional shares in racehorses.

Yesterday was the Kentucky Derby, the most famous racehorse in America (and therefore the world πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ¦…πŸ’₯).

Mage, whose shares were listed and sold on Commonwealth, won.

(I didn’t buy into the horse, but I told y’all about the app, so I’m claiming the one crumb of bragging rights a finance blog can).

This little-known app is about to get a lot bigger. In its short tenure, it’s built an incredible pedigree.

They also now list golfers on the app. The actual offering is limited to accredited investors which they verify via standard KYC.

The horses are not limited to accredited investors. Shares in Mage started out at $50 and obviously sold out long ago.

If I had to bet, I’d foresee another winner listed on Commonwealth in the near future.
